My other Gemini self

Welcome to my otherside. After schmoozing clients all day it is nice to indulge my artistic half or just blather on about how I really feel!

The Monadnock Building

This building was finished in 1889. It is one of the first "skyscrapers" ever built. It is constructed from load bearing masonry. I believe the walls are 13' thick at the ground level. It was the tallest building in the world for brief time, a whopping 16 stories. If it was for architecture junkies having it declared a landmark, it would have faded into oblivion like so many other architectural treasures in downtown Chicago.
